Project and Case Management:
- Organise and deliver improvements and adaptation projects for clients, providing advice and support and liaising with contractors, caseworkers and technical staff on all aspects of delivering improvements and adaptations to the homes of older, young, vulnerable and disabled clients.
- Liaise with external architectural and structural engineering services providing the design element for the adaptation works, ensuring that appropriate permissions are gained and that Planning, Building Control and relevant statutory notices, and timescales are achieved.
- Visit clients in their own homes and assess the adaptation works required, having regard to the clients’ choice and the needs of the property.
- Using company systems and databases, produce specifications and detailed schedules of works, obtain competitive tenders/estimates for work, evaluate costings and advise the client.
- Ensure the supervision and monitoring of the contractors from tender award through to completion on all projects, ensuring risk assessments, to CDM 2015 regulations are adhered to, appropriate health and safety measures in place, adherence to quality standards, provide good customer service, timescales accomplishment, and achievement of contracts and internal KPI’s.
- Oversee checks and audits as per the Health and Safety audit plan
- Support clients before and during building works, maintaining regular communication and dealing with concerns effectively therefore reducing the likelihood of complaints.
- Maintain accurate detailed records on all cases using our computerised systems.
- Responsible for the management of payment of interim and final invoices, including collating and checking all certificates and invoices on completion of works, carrying out final inspections, check final accounts and defects liability.
- Monitor own performance against Service Level Agreement targets and deliverables, ensuring compliance. Discuss performance and achievements with the Senior Technical Officer.
- Build and maintain effective working relationships with the Local Authority Surveyors contractors and other stakeholders
- Support the training and development of co-workers and new Technical officers
General:
- Contribute fully to the organisations’ strategic aims and objectives, promote the values and ethos of Care & Repair Leeds, and promote a positive culture based on those values.
- Seek ways to improve the standard of work and best value on home repairs, and adaptations.
- Maintain client confidentiality, adhere to Data Protection legislation and respond to safeguarding concerns.
- Keep up to date with relevant legislation and guidance with regard to housing adaptations, CDM legislation, and Health & Safety regulation attending relevant training courses.
- Work with other staff to develop procedures and policies.
- Work with the wider team to promote the work of Care & Repair Leeds.
- Work in accordance with health and safety at work practices at all times.
- Undertake any other reasonable duties as required.
