Self-Funded Works

Our Self Funded Adaptations scheme at Care & Repair means customers are provided with a full design service, project management and works supervision alongside 30+ years of Care & Repair experience of working with the most vulnerable people in their own homes.

Darren Jackson, Technical Officer, says “We like customers to take complete ownership of design decisions but we can also offer support and extra insight that can only come with all these years of experience supporting people to live independently in their own homes. A dedicated project manager on each job means that the works are overseen from start to finish and tailored to the needs of each customer.”

The  Care & Repair Self Funded Adaptations scheme means that those people who cannot access any grants can still pay Care & Repair for work themselves, which removes the hassle, stress and uncertainty from a project. This is so useful when organising adaptations in the homes of elderly relatives, future proofing homes or perhaps making improvements to a home where a family is living with a disability.

Darren continues, “We can ensure there is minimal disruption and we give the client peace of mind, alongside significant knowledge of the market of aids and adaptations, suitability and options.”

The Self Funded Adaptations package includes technical advice, quotes from at least two trusted contractors and a twelve month guarantee of works.

If you would like to find out more about our Self Funded Adaptations Scheme please find out more on our website here, or contact Rhiannon Eckley, our Senior Technical Administrator on 0113 391 8338.
