About Annie Mcmaster

I have over 15 years’ experience of working at a senior management level in local government, and retired at the end of 2020.  Whilst my professional background is in HR, my roles and responsibilities have been wide ranging and have provided me with excellent knowledge, skills and experience in a range of areas which include safeguarding, governance and compliance, policy development, project management, strategic service development, customer services, staff and budget management.

Since retiring I have become a governor at a local school, and am on the Board of the National Governance Association.  I am also an active Soroptimist and member of Soroptimist International Leeds, which works to educate, empower and enable women in the world

I have had the opportunity to work with many third sector organisations, and to support initiatives to reduce barriers and increase people’s access to services.  As I get older, I am becoming more aware personally of how age can impact independence.  I am delighted to be a part of Care and Repair which supports personal independence in a professional, caring and thoughtful way
