Leeds Oak Alliance

Leeds Oak Alliance

Leeds Oak Alliance is a joint initiative between Carers Leeds, Age UK Leeds, Care and Repair, Wheatfields Hospice and St Gemma’s Hospice. The organisations came together with an aim to improve services for people with frailty, at end of life and carers.  The third sector organisations behind Leeds Oak Alliance all share values of delivering high quality services focused on meeting the needs of each individual.

Who we support:

Leeds Oak Alliance work with people who are frail or at end of life, and their carers.

What we do:

The Alliance aims to help simplify and improve access to vital third sector support.

Where we work:

Leeds Oak Alliance is piloting a new service based at Leeds Teaching Hospitals Trust offering information, advice and support to people living with frailty, at the end of life and their carers.

The service will be run from a ‘pod’ based in Bexley Wing (St James Hospital) where Leeds Oak Alliance staff will be available Monday to Friday between 1.30pm – 6.30 pm , although these times and the location may change as the project develops.

They hold a shared vision of working closely with Health and Care to contribute to some of the strategic developments in Leeds which focus on improving services.
